The Orange County Amateur Radio Club (OCARC) is a community of amateur radio enthusiasts dedicated to promoting the hobby of amateur radio through education, public service, emergency communications, and fellowship. Our members enjoy exploring a wide range of operating activities including local repeaters, HF communications, digital modes, satellite communications, and special events. We actively participate in annual ARRL Field Day exercises to sharpen our emergency communication skills, organize Parks on the Air (POTA) activations that combine amateur radio with the enjoyment of our public parks, and support severe weather operations through trained SKYWARN storm spotters who provide real-time ground reports to the National Weather Service during hazardous weather. Whether we're helping newcomers earn their first license, experimenting with new technologies, serving our community during emergencies, or simply enjoying time on the air together, OCARC is committed to advancing amateur radio while building friendships and serving Orange County and the surrounding region.
