The Orange County Amateur Radio Club (OCARC) is a friendly and active organization of amateur radio operators serving Orange County and the surrounding communities of Southern Indiana. Founded in 1992, our club is dedicated to promoting amateur radio through education, public service, emergency communications, and fellowship. Throughout the year, members participate in activities including ARRL Field Day, Parks on the Air (POTA) activations, SKYWARNsevere weather operations, public service events, technical presentations, and hands-on projects designed to help both new and experienced operators expand their knowledge and skills. We also maintain the KB9OHY repeater system, providing reliable communications for local operators and visitors alike. For those interested in earning or upgrading their amateur radio license, our club has accredited Volunteer Examiners (VEs) available to administer FCC amateur radio license examinations. Whether you're newly licensed, an experienced operator, or simply interested in learning more about amateur radio, you'll find a welcoming group eager to share their knowledge and passion for the hobby.
OCARC meets on the third Thursday of every month at 7:00 PM Eastern Time in the Orange County Community Foundation Meeting Room in Paoli, Indiana.
